PEC University of Technology (formerly Punjab Engineering College) has been one of India’s foremost technical institutes in the post independence era, with deemed university status since 2004. The university has produced alumni known for their skills and technical know how all over the world. PEC graduates have been involved in nation building and have helped to develop India’s technical back bone for over half a century now.

After being successful at unnerving competitions at national and international level we, the students of PEC, who never back out from challenges decided to take part for the first time in Formula SAE . They call it the toughest engineering competition in the world, and as if that wasn’t motivating enough FSAE has a reputation of being particularly cruel to first year teams – those from India performing miserably in the years gone by. Some of our recent achievements in reputed mobility related engineering challenges include-
1. Second in BAJA SAE INDIA 2009 and 4th in 2008 beating all IIT’s
2. Awarded best rookie award in the NASA grand moonbuggy Challenge 2009.
     Our team consists of third year and final year students with strong Mechanical and        
     Electronics backgrounds, some of them have had experience doing projects on a 
     national level.

The biggest challenge that faces us now is the paucity of funds. After months of work, with some government help as well as some private donors we have managed half the money we need to compete. However, because of the severe restrictions that are placed on the usage of government funds as well as the magnitude of costs involved in an event of this nature, we are in dire need of your help. At this crucial stage your blessings, support and experience are what we look towards to help us out of our current tight situation. After being able to collect 15lacs, we still require financial help to the tune of around 15-17lacs; so that we are not only able to compete but also ensure that we live up to the name of our institute as well as its recent achievements in national and international level competitions of a similar nature. A lot of effort has gone in to achieve the present state, technically and administratively we have grappled with many adverse situations to try and do well in this competition - and none of us want it to go in vain. Please support us so that we can represent our college at the most prestigious and challenging competition in the field of engineering.
